The Engineering Employment Centre (EEC) is a value-added free service offered by the Faculty of Engineering to assist employers in recruiting top Engineering talent from the University of Alberta. Our experienced staff are committed to providing excellent customer service and to helping you through each step of the on-campus recruitment process.
The EEC offers the following free services to assist your company in filling its summer, contract, and permanent engineering-related positions:
Interviewing On Campus
If your company is looking to hire a student for a four-or eight-month work term, consider hiring a student through our Engineering Co-op Program. Please visit the Co-op Program website for further information.
By marketing your employment opportunity to our over 4,000 undergraduate students, 1,500 graduate-level students, and over 20,000 alumni, we can help you find the right candidate for your company.
Key Recruitment Periods
The EEC offers year-round services and support for employers. However, traditional peak on-campus recruitment periods are:
- Early September to mid-November
- Early January to mid-March.
We encourage you to plan your on-campus recruitment early as during peak times demand can exceed room availability.
