Troubleshooting Login Errors

Why do I get an "Invalid access code" error when I try to login?

Two common errors result in this error:

  1. You are not logging in at the Canadian site. Our access code will not work at the American PlacePro website. Please ensure that you are logging in at www.placeprocanada.com.
  2. You are not using the correct access code. Students not enrolled in co-op will be unable to login using the co-op access code. Please ensure that you are using the access code uofaeng.

If you continue to experience the same error after confirming the above, please contact us at engineering.employment@ualberta.ca for assistance.

I can't remember my login/password. How can I get this information?

Users can retrieve their login information from the student login page. Click on the Forgot Password? link and enter your email address along with the access code uofaeng. PlacePro will send your login and password to your email address.

If you are unable to retrieve your login information using this link, email us at engineering.employment@ualberta.ca for further assistance.

I followed the instructions in the User's Guide but I can't access PlacePro. How can I access the system?

The instructions on our website are for first-time users only. Many students complete the first time user login procedure as part of an assignment for ENGG 100 and then forget their login information.

If you think this might be the case for you, try to retrieve your login information using the Forgot Password? link available on the student login page. Enter your email address along with the access code uofaeng. PlacePro will send your login and password to your email address.

If this solution does not work for you, contact us at engineering.employment@ualberta.ca for assistance.
